My goal as a Realtor is to alleviate the stress
What started as helping out a friend for a small project for a couple of days has, so far, brought me to being a licensed Realtor with a Military Relocation Professional designation.
I grew up a military brat so, believe me, I know how to move. While in high school my family lived in Seoul and we were able to explore much of Asia. As an adult, my husband and I have bought and sold four houses in three states. I have lived in one of the largest cities in the world, a small town in Iowa, and on a lake in North Carolina, but what I fell in love with (besides my husband and two boys) is Jefferson County, WV.
I think of myself as a home matchmaker - I love helping people find “the one” that will be their new home. There is what sometimes seems like a staggering amount of work that goes on behind the scenes when you sell or buy a house. It is my goal to make that look like a cakewalk for clients so they don’t need to be stressed about those details.
Previous to Blackwell Realty, I was a freelance graphic designer and was able to help a variety of small business spread their wings and multiple government agencies provide services to the public. Those skills I honed as a small business owner – creativity, customer service, problem solving, project management, and attention to detail – serve me well as a Realtor.
I enjoy being involved with 4H both as a parent and as a volunteer. I was involved with EPIC Soccer Club as a team manager for a many years and a former VP.
I hold a B.A. in Communication Arts and Art from Salisbury University, and Masters level coursework in Publication Design at the University of Baltimore.
